Actress Kelly Vint Castro is back on Stargate after 23 years, with an appearance in Stargate Origins.

As an 11-year-old she played the young Catherine Langford in the opening scene of the 1994 feature film, in which Catherine visits the Giza Plateau with her father in 1928.

Kelly and Origins director Mercedes Bryce Morgan actually met on another project a year ago. After the new Stargate series was announced at San Diego Comic-Con in July, Mercedes asked her to make a cameo appearance.

From the video announcement it looks as though she’ll play a woman working at the secret warehouse facility where the Stargate is being kept during Stargate Origins. She’ll share screen time with Origins leads Ellie Gall (playing an older Catherine) and Connor Trinneer (Professor Langford).

The 1994 feature film Stargate was released in theaters 23 years ago today, in fact.
