The newest entry in the Stargate franchise concludes this week with a special finale event! The final three installments of Stargate Origins are now available for streaming at Stargate Command.
The 10-part series debuted last month and has been doling out two episodes each week. It chronicles a new adventure set in the late 1930s, when Catherine Langford must take a step beyond her wildest imagination to rescue her father — and protect the world from an ominous threat.
In the final episode fans will finally understand just how Catherine’s adventure — and her new knowledge of the Stargate — fits into the continuity established by the 1994 feature film and the first season of Stargate SG-1.
The first three of the 10-minute episodes in the series are available for free to fans worldwide. The rest of Origins is exclusive to All-Access subscribers.
MGM has not yet revealed whether or not Origins will be released on Blu-ray or another distribution channel. But the studio has announced that a “feature cut” will be available for subscribers to download soon. That cut brings together the 10 episodes into the single, movie-length story that it is.
In the days ahead at GateWorld we’ll wrap up our Origins coverage with full story and continuity analysis in the episode guide; screencap galleries in the Stargate Gallery; episode discussions happening now at GateWorld Forum; more GateWorld Podcast conversations; Origins updates to the Stargate Omnipedia; and more.
We’ll also speculate about what the future might hold for our favorite sci-fi universe as we await word from MGM on a second season of Stargate Origins — and beyond.Meanwhile this week: Fans all over the world are gathering on Twitter this Friday and Saturday for an organized “tweet storm” (Friday at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET; Saturday internationally) to show MGM their passion for a fourth Stargate television series — and one that honors 17 seasons of established continuity.
The events are being spearheaded by former Stargate writer and executive producer Joseph Mallozzi, with fans congregating around the @StargateNow Twitter account for directions on maximum effectiveness during the 1-hour tweet window.

Will you be there, as GateWorld, at the Tweet storm?
I’m afraid I have to work during the hour the event is scheduled. But GateWorld hasn’t been approached by the campaign organizers.
That’s sad. Both of them.
