Stargate Atlantis co-star David Hewlett wasn’t able to make it to San Diego Comic-Con this week … but he certainly made his presence felt at the show’s fifteenth anniversary celebration panel.

Hewlett (“Rodney McKay”) beamed in a video almost live from an attic in Warwickshire, England, entertaining a packed audience of several hundred fans yesterday.

Making a guest appearance in the video is David’s son, Sebastian (“Baz”), who is helping clear the attic of spiders.

The actor made sure to give his former cast mates a hard time, including Jewel Staite and Paul McGillion, who were sitting on stage watching as the video rolled. (There’s even a classic McKay call-back to the first season episode “Letters From Pegasus.”)
