Former Stargate Atlantis co-star Torri Higginson is not only headed back to Transplant — she’s also gotten a promotion.
Higginson has been upped from a recurring guest star to a series regular for Season Two of the Canadian medical drama. The first season aired on CTV in Canada, and was picked up by NBC and aired in the United States last fall.
She played Dr. Elizabeth Weir on Stargate Atlantis.
On Transplant Torri plays Claire Malone, the head nurse of the ER at the fictional York Memorial Hospital. Transplant focuses on a talented young doctor (played by Hamza Haq) who finds a job at the hospital after fleeing Syria with his sister.

The first season of Transplant was a big hit for NBC, with an average of 5.7 million weekly viewers (Live +7). The show announced in December that it was picking up Season Two. Production is underway now for a premiere on CTV later this year.
Transplant also stars John Hannah, Ayisha Issa, Laurence Leboeuf, and Jim Watson.
