Stargate Atlantis was a whole lot of fun. With a mix of Stargate’s trademark adventure and humor, John Sheppard (Joe Flangian) led a team through the Stargate to explore the Pegasus Galaxy — and the lost city of the Ancients.

The show ran for five seasons between 2004 and 2009. After Atlantis concluded its run GateWorld hosted a months-long rewatch, one season each month, with a series of polls specific to that season. Stargate fans voted for their favorite episodes, best character moments, guest stars, alien races, technology, etc.

Thousands of Stargate fans from all over the world voted on their number one favorite episode for each individual season. It makes for an interesting kind of “Top 5” list. These aren’t the five very best hours of the entire series, but rather fans’ pick for the best episode of each season that the show aired.
