It’s so great to see the team back together, even if a few of the Stargate Atlantis cast is missing.
This week former Atlantis co-star Jason Momoa (“Ronon Dex”) posted photos from the See premiere party on Instagram, including this gem of Momoa with his co-stars David Hewlett (“Rodney McKay”) and Joe Flanigan (“John Sheppard”). Both appeared on See, an Apple TV+ original series that stars Momoa.
The cast and crew premiere celebrated the show’s three years in production. The third and final season debuts for the rest of the world today on Apple’s streaming service.
Hewlett commented on the photo, saying: “We’re still quite the motley crew, no? And that’s my classy kid over @joeflaniganofficial official left shoulder! Such a treat getting to strut about with these gents again. Thank you again @prideofgypsies, you’re a star with the soul of a poet & a giant beating heart of gold, my friend!”
See was a launch series for Apple TV+, which debuted in November of 2019.
Momoa stars in the post-apocalyptic fantasy drama as Baba Voss, leader of a clan who lives in a world where all of humankind has lost the ability to see. New episodes of the final season will stream weekly, leading to the final episode on October 14.
Stargate Atlantis filmed from 2004 to 2008, after Momoa’s turn as a young heartthrob on Baywatch but before he was cast as Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones.
Next up for Momoa: a zany turn as “Flip” in the family fantasy movie Slumberland, which premieres November 18 on Netflix. Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend) directed the film about a young girl (co-star Marlow Barkley) who finds a map to the world of dreams and recruits a giant half-man half-beast creature (Momoa) to help her find her father.
