The much anticipated Stargate Command brick construction set has finally arrived, courtesy of BlueBrixx.
We got our first look at the S.G.C. Gate Room set (in its final colors) from BlueBrixx back in July, and now it’s finally in stock and ready to ship. Fans can find the set on the Germany-based company’s official Web site … just be prepared to pay for the shipping if you aren’t in Europe.
The S.G.C. Gate Room comes in a whopping 2,430 pieces and is officially licensed by MGM, measuring 43.3 x 27.8 x 21.7 centimeters. In addition to the familiar sights of the Stargate (with optional event horizon and iris!), ramp, M.A.L.P., and U.A.V., the set also includes the very first SG-1 mini-figures from BlueBrixx: Jack O’Neill, Daniel Jackson, Samantha Carter, and Teal’c — complete with his tiny staff weapon.
The attention to detail is really nice here, from the doors that open and close to the fire trail coming out of the launching U.A.V., from the inclusion of all 39 symbols on the Stargate to the optional active or inactive chevron pieces. Check out BlueBrixx’s showcase video below for a closer look.
The Gate Room set runs 159,95 Euros, which is around $179 USD (or £135 GBP). Another recent video from BlueBrixx previewed what looks like a smaller off-world adventure set with the SG-1 team, a Stargate set in a pedestal with steps, a D.H.D., and more.
And that awesome-looking Stargate Advent Calendar, loaded with pieces to build 10 different micro scenes from Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis? It’s now listed on the company’s Web site, along with the first official pictures:
With 844 pieces, maybe most interesting to Stargate fans here are the 15 brand new mini-figures of our favorite characters. We’re still identifying all of the scenes and characters pictured here, but you can definitely spot Jack O’Neill ready to play golf, Todd the Wraith, Ascended Daniel versus Anubis (from “Full Circle”), John Sheppard and Carson Beckett, a trio of Nox, Jack in an EVA suit (from “Fail Safe”), and more.
We’re anticipating that the calendar will begin shipping in time for holiday 2024, though it’s useful to note that it isn’t dated. The 24 numbered doors will be just as fun for the family (or the Stargate collector in your life) any Christmas season.
BlueBrixx’s Web site is also selling a variety of Stargate ships, from Prometheus to a Wraith cruiser, as well as the Brick Buddy figures and the Stargate chevron we showcased back in May. The Zero Point Module construction set has also been announced but is not yet available.
Keep up with the whole collection in GateWorld’s new BlueBrixx page in our Toys & Games section!
