Goa'uld recorder
From The Stargate Omnipedia
A simple, portable recording device used by the Goa'uld. Spherical in shape, it has a large camera aperture on the front, and likely some form of internal digital storage. It may be turned off and on easily, though there is no evident indicator on the face of the recorder when it is on and actively recording.
Like the vocuum, the recorder may be able to record three-dimensional images. It is not known if the device has any playback functionality.
