The leader of the Abydonians, a peaceful race of desert nomads on the planet Abydos. Kasuf has two children: Sha're and Skaara (and is thus Daniel Jackson's father-in-law). With help from the first Stargate team from Earth, Kasuf led his people to freedom by rebelling against the Goa'uld Supreme System Lord, Ra, whom his people believed to be an evil god.
Kasuf is a wise and courageous leader, whose strong loyalties lie with his family and with his people. When the powerful Goa'uld Anubis attacked Abydos in search of the Eye of Ra, Kasuf led the village into hiding while the young men joined SG-1 in the hopeless defense of the planet. Abydos was annihilated by Anubis's new super-weapon, but its people -- including Kasuf, presumably -- were helped by Oma Desala to ascend beyond their physical bodies to a higher plane of existence.
"Stargate" the Movie - The leader of the Abydonians, Kasuf welcomes the first Stargate team as representatives of the gods. But when Ra attacks his village, he regrets welcoming O'Neill, Jackson and the others -- but is eventually emboldened to lead his people in a successful rebellion against Ra.
Secrets - One year after his son, Skaara, and daughter, Sha're, are kidnapped by Apophis and turned into Goa'uld, Kasuf welcomes Sha're home. But after Daniel has delivered her baby -- the child of Apophis -- Kasuf must take the child into hiding when Sha're's Goa'uld symbiote regains control of her.
Forever In a Day - Kasuf's people are again threatened by the Goa'uld when Amonet -- who possesses the body of his own daughter -- returns for her child. Though his world is saved, his daughter is killed.
Absolute Power - Kasuf calls SG-1 back to Abydos when a strange wind blows through the Stargate, revealing itself to be Shifu -- the grown child of Sha're.
Full Circle - Kasuf leads the village into hiding from Anubis, who destroys the planet. With help from Oma Desala, Kasuf and his people ascend to a higher plane of existence.
