Zukhov

Russian Colonel assigned to Stargate Command to travel to P2X-338 and discover the whereabouts of a missing Russian Stargate team. Zukhov was annoyed at the prospect of following orders under Jack O'Neill (as the two were both of equal military rank), and went about his own way inside the ziggurat on 338, tripping a booby trap that locked the two teams inside.

Secretly Zukhov was also under orders by the Russian government to procure the Eye of Tiamat for study as a possible weapon or source of great power, which was in truth the entire purpose for the previous Russian Stargate team's mission to 338. When he and O'Neill were trapped in a corner of the ziggurat by the Goa'uld Marduk (in the body of one of his own, Major Vallarin) he admitted to the subterfuge, and pretended to throw the Eye to the possessed officer.

It was, instead, a live grenade. When it exploded it collapsed hundreds of pounds of ziggurat on top of Zukhov, killing him.
