Hoff

Planet in the Pegasus Galaxy inhabited by a resolute people who are determined to perfect and complete a drug that inhibits a Wraith's ability to feed on a person. Before the Wraith awakening by the Atlantis team, there was more than a 50 year gap between cullings on Hoff. With the Wraith awake again, the Hoffans are more motivated than ever to complete their work.

Archives containing the accomplishments of the entire civilization, stored in book form, are kept throughout the city. Their hope is that at least one library will survive following a culling, so that future generations will be able to continue to build on the accomplishments of those who came before.

When the Wraith learned what the Hoffans were up to they attacked the planet and devastated the civilization. Now all that remains are small bands of scavengers trying to survive amidst the ruins of a once proud people.

The Kindred, Part 1 - Sheppard leads a team back to Hoff, where the civilization stands in ruins -- destroyed by the Wraith after they learned about the nature of their research.
