Member of SG-11, part of the operation on P3X-888 to recover fossilized Goa'uld for transport back to Earth. Daniel Jackson called Loder for assistance after test results for the skeleton specimen "Cleo" were completed, ready for the queen to be crated.
Loder heard crackling branches in a forest just beyond the dig, and when he discovered a monster emerging he shot at it, but was killed. It turned out to be an Unas.
