Major assigned to Stargate Command and the commander of SG-17 during the team's visit to the Tok'ra homeworld of Revanna alongside SG-1. Mansfield had just been assigned Lieutenant Elliot to join his team.
When Goa'uld attack ships entered scanning range Jack O'Neill ordered SG-17 to aid in the Tok'ra evacuation. Mansfield and the rest of his team (minus Elliot) died in a rock fall during enemy bombardment of the underground tunnels.
