Athosian woman who was rescued by the Atlantis expedition during a Wraith attack on her homeworld, Athos. Marta was one of the first to notice the presence of the shadow creature that had accidentally be released out of its containment vessel by the Athosian boy Jinto.

At first she believed it was a Wraith shadow, but she approached Dr. Elizabeth Weir with the news and learned of the creature's true nature.
