World SG-1 visited, eventually finding themselves fleeing from the Goa'uld Tanith, two death gliders and a battalion of Jaffa soldiers. Tok'ra intelligence confirmed the Goa'uld were scouting the planet as a possible location for a new base.
Teal'c, armed with a Goa'uld cannon, fired at Tanith's hovering Al'kesh and disabled the command center, sending the vessel crashing directly into the D.H.D.. The shockwave of the explosion split the Stargate in two, destroying any chance of returning to the planet via gate.
