Ancient Egyptian man who lived circa 3,000 B.C. Salatis and his brother, Katep, arrived in Giza with plans to travel to the temple of Ra and make an offering at their god's feet. Ra, however, was not impressed by the box of trinkets they bought, and had Salatis killed on the spot as punishment.

This loss was a contributor to Katep's rebellion against Ra, when he and Daniel Jackson successfully rose up and drove Ra from Earth five years later.
