Sodan staff weapon
From The Stargate Omnipedia
Weapon modified from a typical Jaffa staff weapon. The version used by the Sodan is much shorter. It is not known where the liquid naquadah vile is placed to power this device. The weapon appears to have the same yield of firepower but is likely far lighter because of the reduction in length.

Babylon - SG-1 is ambushed by Sodan warriors armed with their version of staff weapons.
