Professor of the California Institute of Technology. Peel received a math proof postmarked by Jeannie Miller, a proof which realized the siphoning of energy from parallel dimensions.

Professor Peel passed the proof along to the United States Air Force who sent a representative, Colonel Samantha Carter (and later [[Rodney McKay|Dr. Rodney McKay) to sway Jean toward working on a classified project on Atlantis that could potentially realize her vision.
