Julia Donovan

Persistent television reporter for her program, Inside Access. Donovan and her staff were given leaked data regarding a project called "Prometheus", as well as samples of trinium used in the design of the ship. She attempted to interview Major Carter in a parking lot, but Sam refused to comment.

Dononvan was insistent, and she continued to press matters until she was intercepted by the Pentagon's representative, Major Davis. He warned her that if her story went to the public lives would be endangered. Forced with trashing her story, she agreed to signing a non-disclosure form, permitting her and her crew to document the United States Air Force Vessel Prometheus from stem to stern and to turn over all of the data to the government until they decided to go public; that way, Inside Access would still receive the exclusive, and Prometheus would remain classified.

The S.G.C. planned on double-crossing the reporter and her staff, intending to destroy all evidence of the documentation. But shortly after the crew's arrival on board the ship, the camera team revealed themselves as N.I.D. operatives and captured Prometheus. They ordered the immediate release of Colonel Frank Simmons and the Goa'uld host Adrian Conrad. Donovan was held hostage aboard the Prometheus until SG-1 regained control via a death glider. She was later transported back to the S.G.C. by an Asgard transporter when Thor arrived to request aid.

Over a year later when billionaire Alec Colson came forward with evidence that he had proof of life beyond our planet, Donovan immediately began making phone calls to Carter. These calls eventually drove the Colonel to use Donovan's "Inside Access" program to counter Colson's claims. A holographic Asgard (played by Thor) appeared on her show. After the interview was over Donovan claimed that it had not quite been what she was looking for -- but that it would still bring in good numbers. After all she had been through, she still cared about ratings.
