Galar.jpg

Planet originally protected by the Asgard Protected Planets Treaty, home of the technologically advanced Galarans. Galar was formerly a Goa'uld-occupied planet, and thus retained some technological artifacts from the era in which they ruled.

Such technology included the Stargate, which the Galaran government eventually managed to work (without disclosing it to the general public) as well as Goa'uld memory devices. These memory devices were eventually backwards engineered to form the basis of Galaran memory technology.
