A long-dead people who were once under siege by the Goa'uld. The Velonans, unable to defend themselves, found aid in the Ancient Orlin, who took pity on the race and gave them the plans they needed to develop an Ancient space weapon from Velonan components.
The Velonans were successful at repelling the Goa'uld threat, and celebrated their victory. However, it was not long after when they began developing plans to use the technology to conquer other worlds.
