Originally settled by transplanted Humans, Nassya was attacked by the Goa'uld System Lords, most likely Cronus, attempting to locate Jolinar of Malkshur, a Tok'ra hiding within a Nassyan man.

SG-1 and several other unites successfully evacuated 237 inhabitants and relocated them, hopefully preventing them from further Goa'uld oppression.

The Nassyans lived just beyond the Stargate in a small village on the border of a generous water source. They were easily located from orbit, as at least two death gliders made an air-to-surface bombardment during the evacuation, killing many of the inhabitants and injuring countless others.
