I’m confused is this the “Snow Monkey” movie that David Hewlett Directed in Europe last year? He talked about it a lot on Twitter. Acording to IMDB Matt Codd, Directed this movie. What Gives?

No – This is another movie. Easy to get those SyFy creature features mixed up.

I’m sorry, did you say, “Tune in to Syfy?”

Because I think you did.

Won’t be watching Syfail channel ever again. Still boycotting.

D. Hewletts Character: “Oh my god! It’s cr*ppy CGI! Run!”

I find this career move a bit odd for David. You’d think, that after having a major role in “Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes”, that he’d aim for more big hollywood movies. But instead, he decides to go for a role in a cr*ptacular Syfy Channel budget film. Why?

there are no words to describe how wrong all of this is. Our Stargate favorites has been reduced to the status of Crackwhores thanks to Scifi.

The Syfy execs always seem to get their claws in. Even Robert Knepper did one of their crappy movies!

I couldn’t stand to watch more than a few minutes of it, TBH, Dr. Rodney McKay once again saved the day from something coming through a wormhole. Seriously, I liked Hewlett as McKay on SGA, but he has been type cast into exactly the same character for this movie, even some of his lines seemed to have been lifted from SGA. Not to mention the Stereotypical villain played by Picardo, and the cliche “Hero has been pinned under a fallen pillar” scenes happening left and right. Why do I even watch these dumb movies anyway?

I made it through the movie – OK for a SyFy Saturday night job. They were definitely giving us some more McKay here. I kept expecting Hewlett’s character to announce that he was allergic to citrus.

Gosh. That movie was tough to watch. It lost me pretty quickly with the poor CGI and cookie cutter script.

It was the first time I stopped to watch SyFy. I love David Hewlett, but even he wasn’t enough to save Morlocks.

Will I enjoy Ferocious Planet? I picked up the DVD hopping to enjoy it, but now I’m beginning to wonder.

I don’t think Ferocious Planet is going to give you goose bumps either.

I didn’t get to see Morlocks, but will try to catch it some day, just to see David. Ferocious Planet is pretty cheesy, but a fun watch. The monsters aren’t all that badly done, considering the budget. Joe is also playing a SGAish type character, kind of a mix of Sheppard and VegasSheppard.

Sounds really interesting anything with Hewlett in is brilliant especially his other movie “dogs Breakfast” I laughed at that film so much … Either way whether its a big box office movie or low budget movie it’s what ever makes them happy and keeps them on tv that counts … Keep it Hewlett big fan of you :)

Guys, just think of “Ferocious Planet” as the first unofficial Stargate Atlantis movie and “Morlocks” as the second one. As long as they keep typecasting them in tghese movies, it’s the best we can get.
