The film picks up where the tenth and final season of Stargate SG-1 left off, with the seemingly unstoppable followers of the Ori poised to conquer our galaxy. SG-1 must take the Odyssey through the Supergate and into enemy territory on a risky mission that might end the war peacefully. But an equally deadly enemy is on board.
The Ark of Truth was released on DVD last March, before the high-def format war was entirely settled. It was followed by a DVD and Blu-ray release for Stargate: Continuum in July.
The Blu-ray release includes the widescreen, 5.1 surround sound film, plus the same bonus features as the DVD:
- Commentary with Robert C. Cooper (writer/director), Christopher Judge (“Teal’c”), and Peter Woeste (director of photography)
- The Ark of Truth: Stargate at Comic-Con
- Uncovering The Ark of Truth featurette
- Stargate SG-1: The Road Taken – Prelude to Stargate: The Ark of Truth
The Blu-ray release will come with a suggested retail price of $34.99.
