A very eclectic trio of special feature screen captures have been added to the GateWorld Gallery this week.
Monday, June 8, sees the addition of nearly 1,500 screen grabs to the ever-growing Stargate SG-1 Complete Series Region 1 box set section. Expect this set to be complete very soon as we move on to the Ultimate Edition DVD of the original “Stargate” feature! What follows are breakdowns for each new gallery from this week’s batch. Enjoy!
Profile on Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie (252 images) – Documents the pair of Executive Producers from their beginnings as writing partners to Season Eight when the segment was filmed, and maps out the SG-1 episode “It’s Good To Be King” at the “whiteboard” phase of the show.
Stargate SG-1: The Alliance Video Game (361 images) – Documents the Australian-based Perception and its staff prior to MGM’s cancellation of this first-person shooter. Includes interviews with CEO Ben Lenzo, Project Manager Radek Majder, Lead Artist Jason Morris, Concept Artists Alison Bond and Grant Regan, Lead Game Designer Viljar Sommerbakk, Animator Ray Willis and Sound Artist Aldo Sampaio. Also features numerous pre-visuals, in-game footage, concept art and moments with the Stargate SG-1 cast during facial mapping.
Stargate SG-1 True Science (845 images) – Originally airing on television in Great Britain, this feature explores the real-life science behind the fictional TV series, suggesting that time travel and parasitic mind control are more real than imaginary. Hosted by Amanda Tapping, the documentary includes interviews with Professors Ian Stewart, John Janovy Jr., Lawrence Krauss, Kevin Warwick, Dr. James R. Baker Jr., actor Christopher Judge and Executive Producers Brad Wright and Robert Cooper. Also includes behind-the-scenes footage during the production of Season Nine’s “Ripple Effect.”
The last set of screenshots from the Complete Series Region 1 boxed set will be entering the GateWorld Gallery next Monday. Stay tuned!
