A light-weight staff made of wood, carved into the approximation of a Jaffa staff weapon. Training staffs are shorter than standard staffs. They are used to train young Jaffa warriors to fight in hand-to-hand combat.
Training staffs are also commonly the weapon of choice during challenges of the ritual combat jomo'sequ.
The Sodan society of Jaffa make use of a similar, non-lethal training weapon, though it is not shaped like a staff weapon.
