“Just enough strength to break the news of a completed career (mine) with the already completed episode of The Simpsons,” the actor told the Richard Dean Anderson Web Site.
The long-running, animated series is not just Anderson’s favorite show. During his eight years as Stargate‘s Jack O’Neill, he made it his character’s favorite show as well. References to Homer and his family abound in such episodes as “Frozen” (in which Jack laments forgetting to tape The Simpsons) and “Beneath the Surface” (an amnesiac Jack remembers someone named “Homer” being very important to him).
Earlier this year, The Simpsons star Dan Castellaneta (“Homer Simpson”) guest starred in “Citizen Joe.”
Details about Anderson’s episode of The Simpsons — including whether or not he will be playing himself, and how large his role is — are still unknown. Watch GateWorld for the latest!
