Stargate captures two Spacey Awards

Stargate took home two awards from the 2005 Spaceys, the annual awards voted on by fans and presented by Canada’s SPACE network.

Stargate SG-1 won the viewer’s choice award for Favorite Canadian TV series with a commanding 54 percent of the vote, and was beat by a slim margin by Star Trek: Enterprise for the Favorite TV Series award.

Series star Richard Dean Anderson (“Jack O’Neill”) accepted the award for Favorite Male TV Character, with 46 percent of the vote.
