The episode will be directed by Andy Mikita when it goes before cameras in mid-August.
Beware of spoilers in the report below!
The leader of the people encountered by Sheppard’s team is the Lord Protector, a man in his 60s or 70s. Like Shakespeare’s King Lear, the Lord Protector relies too much on the advice of those close to him, those who ultimately cannot be trusted. And like King Lear, he has a powerful presence about him.
Otho, a man in his 40s or 50s, is an advisor to the Lord Protector. He is an extremely clever man, and is manipulating the Lord Protector for his own interests. He comes across as likeable and sympathetic, though.
Written by Paul Mullie, “The Tower” will air in early 2006. No details about the story’s plot are yet available … but stay tuned! We expect new info shortly.
