Noble played Lord Denethor, the steward of Gondor, in the hit film “Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.”
Born in Port Pirie, South Australia, 57-year-old Noble was also a semi-regular on the TV series All Saints (“John Madsen”). He was the Head of Drama at Brent St. School of Arts in Sydney for three years, and has directed over 80 stage plays.
It is not yet known what character Noble will play, but it seems likely that it is either Antonius, a historian of Arthurian legend in the alien village of Camelot, or the village’s governor, Meurik.
Twenty-three-year-old actress Katharine Isabelle (Legend of Earthsea, “Ginger Snaps”) will also guest star in the episode, Mallozzi said.
The episode, “Camelot,” is now in production in Vancouver, B.C., and is expected to premiere on The SCI FI Channel in March. Read more about the season finale in GateWorld’s episode guide!
