Blade: The Series stars Kirk Jones (“Over There”) as a half-man, half-vampire who employs his extraordinary powers in a crusade to save mankind from the demonic creatures who walk the night. The 13-hour, action-adventure series is produced by New Line Television, and is now filming in Vancouver, B.C.In the new series Jackson plays
Marcus Van Sciver, villainous leader of the vampire House of Cthon. Van Sciver is a wealthy developer and a pillar of the Detroit community. Though he rubs elbows with the city’s elite, the real power of the centuries-old vampire stems from his ties to the House of Chthon and the leaders of the “Vampire Nation.”
Blade also co-stars Jill Wagner (
Dr. Vegas), Nelson Lee (
Traffic, the TV mini-series), and Jessica Gower (
All Saints). It is executive produced by David S. Goyer, who worked on the “Blade” film trilogy and “Batman Begins.”Formerly an amateur boxing champion, Jackson competed both for his college and for Wales, ultimately winning the British Universities championship twice. Upon landing a sponsorship to study sports at the Masters level, Jackson completed his MSc and moved to London in 2000 to pursue acting.Before
Stargate SG-1 the actor appeared as Perdiccas, Alexander’s commander in Oliver Stone’s feature film “Alexander.” He has also recently completed filming on “The Thirst,” an independent vampire thriller also starring Adam Baldwin and Jeremy Sisto.
