The end of a franchise, for good.

Goodbye Stargate.
Want Zero point mod ZPM.. I would make a fake looking connection to my PC to make it look like my stuff is powered by one.
Or a gun...anything.
Was Star Trek dead when they destroyed sets and got rid of props? No, of course not. What about Battlestar? Was that dead? Well, we got Caprica and a new series actually set on Battlestar. Keep in mind that these props take up LOTS of valuable space and that most likely they've taken digital images of the props so should they need to they can recreate them. I know they said they did the exact same thing with the Battlestar sets.
That being said, I think at this point we all know that those Atlantis and SG-1 movies are never going to happen because its been too long. If they had happened like they were promised and been successful and lead to more then that would be different. Right now the focus should be on giving a conclusion to SGU's cliffhanger ending.
I could be wrong and when they announce how they will conclude SGU that could include announcements relating to SGA and maybe SG-1 but I doubt it...even so, I feel that SG-1's story has been concluded and anything else is icing on the cake.
another even better example than battlestar or star trek is Farscape. After 4 seasons they destroyed all the sets. Then i think 1.5 or 2 years later they rebuilt all the sets they needed and filmed the peacekeeper wars! So definitely not the end.
