Archaeologist, husband of Claire Jackson and father of Daniel Jackson. He and Claire were working in the Manhattan Museum of Art, establishing a new exhibit, when the top portion of a stone column crushed and killed him and his wife, orphaning Daniel.
Daniel is shown his parents death over and over again by The Keeper but is unable to change the outcome.
