First SG-1 action figures revealed

The first Stargate SG-1 action figures are now in production at Diamond Select Toys, and now GateWorld has learned the character line-up for the first wave of releases!

The first Stargate figures to show up in stores will include Col. Jack O’Neill, Dr. Daniel Jackson, a Serpent Guard, and General Jack O’Neill. Figures are being sculpted based on the actors’ likenesses.

General O’Neill will be the hardest to find, with only one figure per case — versus three of each of the other three figures per case.

In addition to the core assortment, Diamond Select will offer different uniform variants for these characters.

No worries, Carter and Teal’c fans: Additional characters are expected to be released in future waves. And the more successful the figures are, the more likely that the company will go deeper into the character roster and create other allies and enemies in plastic.

There is no word yet on just when the figures will be hitting the shelves, but it is unlikely to happen before the end of the year. Stick with GateWorld for the very latest.
