For Their First Convention they did good, Although i was convinced to watch this show since they first mentioned it, they just made me want to watch it even more.
At first I thought there will be a kindergarten as usually, but after 10-15 minutes all have matured.
Some assumptions (theory) about SGU vs BSG

I can't get past Brian J Smith chewing gum with his mouth open, you can even hear him smacking it as he's speaking. YUK! Already can't stand him.
J.J. Abrams-izing Stargate is an insulting and sick move on the part of these producers...it is 'stargate' only in name, and I'm not going watch a single second of this soap-opera Lost/BSG ripoff garbage shaky-action melodrama crap. It turns my stomach, just as it probably turns Richard Dean Anderson's stomach. I cannot imagine RDA himself even watching this mindless relationship-drama crap. It may be "oooh wooo" serious, but only on the level of Dawson's Creek and other mindless relationship dramas...hell, I don't care if there's even a conspiracy-arc in this pile of unoriginal garbage...I'm tired of seeing franchise brand names being put on crap like this...like New Star Trek...(New Coke)....the recent trend in TV to make everything into a soap opera to make people continuously watch it is also sickening... imagine if this was the Stargate they made to follow up the original movie...there wouldn't 10 freakin seasons that's for sure... there was nothing on television like STARGATE when it came on...sure a bit of Trek in there, but seriously, there hasn't been anything remotely as good since. This SGU crap just offends me, and hopefully after the curious watch the first few episodes, they actually realize what the hell they're watching, because what they are watching ISN'T and NEVER WILL BE..."Stargate."
Long live Kurt Russell!
