Stargate Universe actor Robert Carlyle (“Nicholas Rush”) dropped by to chat with fellow Scotsman Craig Ferguson on last night’s edition of CBS’s The Late Late Show.
The two talked about life in Scotland, Canada … and of course, Stargate Universe. It’s a very funny segment that runs about seven minutes. There’s also a new clip from Friday’s episode, “Darkness.”

Wow, that was about ten times better than an SGU ep. I laughed from beginning to end.
A theory ahead that may or may not be a SPOILER, depending if my theory is correct of course. And I’m basing the theory on what we saw in the last episode and the little bit here in this clip above. Well, realistically, they spent virtually all the time talking about bacon, skiing, kids, and then Robert went “Oh, I shouldtalk about Stargate,” and think they spent one minute or less talking about it ;)
I love their accents, esp how Carlyle says “marooned.” And then the funniest part, “oh I forgot that that’s why I’m here.” Glad they cast this guy and liked the clip from Universe.
Watched this last night + it was hilarious. I absolutely love Craig’s show – he’s the best in Late Night. His interviews are free + as happened here, most guests barely get around to promoting their show/movie/book b/c they just get caught up in a good, entertaining conversation.

This was awsome. Craig Ferguson is the best late night host ever! Robert Carlyle seems like such a great guy, and I’m glad they cast him in SGU.
It is great to see a talented Scotsman in SGU.
I miss SGA (and Carson) very much but the new show looks promising.
I hope Dr. Rush doesn’t meet a similar fate to Dr. Beckett.

10 Months away from your family? He gave up a lot to be on SGU. I wonder how long it will be before his family says enough is enough?
I’d caution us against speaking (and especially speculating) too much about the actor’s families. But IIRC, Robert has said elsewhere that his family lives with him when he’s in Vancouver.
Well he seems like a great guy, someone to grab a pint with at the local pub:) Last nights episode was good I enjoyed it . Still getting used to this very slow pace, but aslong as the story is done well I think I will be making room for SGU. On another note LETS SEE THOSE STARGATE MOVIES!!!!
Craig Ferguson is the best host I have ever seen for a talk show. Give me him anyday over these other guys. He is great! I specially go onto Youtube to watch him, as sadly, we don’t get his shows here…
I love listening to Scottish people talk. I hope one day that Robin Williams does his impersonation of a scottish golfer while having a conversation with Fat Bastard from Austin Powers. That would be comedy gold.
