Stargate Universe made its big premiere on Syfy Channel in the United States last night, and as we previously reported the first two hours of the show are now available to watch online at Hulu.com and iTunes!
Watch “Air” Parts 1 and 2 now, courtesy of Hulu:
Hulu posts new episodes every Saturday, following their Friday premiere. The five most recent episodes will be available — though “Air” Parts 1 and 2 are listed together as a single episode (as it aired), so it should remain available on Hulu until episode #7 has aired on Syfy.
Hulu is, unfortunately, restricted to U.S. viewers due to distribution agreements. Rumor has it, however, that a U.K.-based Hulu is in the works. SGU premieres there this Tuesday, on Sky1.
The show is also now available on Hulu.com and iTunes, commercial-free and in both standard defition ($1.99 per episode) and high-def ($2.99 per episode). And for a limited time, U.S. viewers can download last night’s premiere from iTunes for FREE. So get to it!
Stargate Universe continues next Friday at 9 p.m. (8 central) on Syfy.
(Thanks to Jim for the tip!)
Just letting people know that iTunes in Canada is also listing the double episode as free right now.
Whoa…I was just planning on using Hulu cause I was busy last night, but I can download the HD episodes for free?! Sweet!
(Already started downloading 4 hours ETA)
Offcourse Central europe is discriminated again.
OK, I did give it a shot and it was just like they said: relationship centered and edgy and I’ve got enough of that in real life. Come on, is this Stargate or Santa Barbara? Barely two substantial event sequences in 1.5 hours plus one hint at battle action, but tons of some weak people’s problems. On a sci-fi action I want to see heroes, legends like SG-1 or SGA members and I want to see adventures. I dumped Defying Gravity after the pilot because of being rather a moody boring soap only in sci-fi clothing, I don’t see why… Read more »
^goodbye then
Sorry, but I am realy dissapointed that this features are (AGAIN) limited only to USA.
You have a lot of fans in Europe too, you know??? Might as well think about thema a bit too.
At times like this I hate living in Europe. =/
The iTunes one are free in Canada as well.
European fans get screwed as usual – there are ways, however, to set up accounts with the US iTunes store and thus be able to download SGU legally.
“Off course Central europe is discriminated again.” Super G, no disrespect is intended. Did you know that in the U.S. we had to wait almost a year before we were even allowed to watch footage from Torchwood on the official website, much less watch the show? We have to wait weeks before we can see the new Doctor Who episodes. It’s all about international copyright laws. Hell, in the U.S. we don’t even get to have the original soundtrack to Sonic CD in our copies, and that game is over 15 years old. Everyone gets screwed when it comes to… Read more »
MAC OS is supposed to be good, I dont see Apple giving it away. Windows 7 Is supposed to be good, i dont see Microsoft giving that away. Then Why on earth is SGU being given away free on iTunes like AOL CD’s a few years back?? Will they do just about anything to get viewers to watch the show?
US06154, there were episodes of SGA given away free on DVD with magazines and other things back when it first started. OF COURSE it was to hook in viewers. I guess this must mean SGA sucked, then?
I didn’t like it. I mean, I wanna laugh with Stargate, not crying in pain. LOL.
That’s not Stargate. Screw them, I wanna back SGA. What about the SGA movie?
@US06154: It is quite common on iTunes to give the first episode of a season away for free. How many times has Stargate Universe been downloaded? I would say at least 80% of those did it because they can’t watch the show otherwise. (within a year before it comes out on DVD or after that when it finally starts airing in their country.) There is no way around it, they would have more viewers, higher ratings and more money if they allowed people in other countries to watch the show the same day or next on TV on Hulu or… Read more »
