Tonight on SGU: ‘Time’

Tonight on Syfy Stargate Universe continues with an all-new episode! We’ve been waiting eagerly for months to see “Time,” which looks to be a creepy, mind-bending time twister. The eighth episode of the new series was written and directed by Universe co-creator Robert C. Cooper.

Here’s a sneak peek at the episode! Watch out for significant SPOILERS below, particularly in Syfy’s full episode description …

From TV Guide:

An away team finds a kino beside a Stargate on a jungle world, which contains video footage of the team that was shot prior to their arrival. Then, an illness cripples the team, forcing them to quarantine themselves on the planet.

From Syfy:

Visiting a newly discovered jungle planet, the crew is amazed to recover a Kino by the gate. Downloading the Kino data, Eli discovers video of the team, which appears to have been shot during an earlier visit. The mystery of the video’s origin becomes a secondary concern as members of the team start falling ill. Unable to return to the Destiny for fear of spreading the infection, the team sets up camp in the jungle to try to isolate the infection there. Little do they know that when night falls, the illness will be the least of their worries.

  • "Cos these are the days of our lives
They've flown in the swiftness of time
These days are all gone now but some things remain
When I look and I find - no change"

It's almost like Queen wrote this song in Parody of SGU.

  • I kind of like the references to Star Wars and the other older sci fi shows they've used so far. It reminds me of "Chuck" and the 80's ad 90's references that those writers use. It helps lighten the show up a bit. I hope they kill off some of the cattle tonight. Right now there are too many nameless people milling around. We aren't going to get to know 90 people, lets kill a few of them off!

  • so they make a star wars joke from time to time.so what. just as long as eli and Chloe dont turn out to be brother and sister.that would be to much.

  • I heard this was going to be a good episode so I tuned in. I really shouldn't have bothered as it turned out as awful as the others I watched. I think for me it's the characters. I couldn't care less about any of them. The writers can put in as much action now as they want and it won't make the slightest difference to me. On previous shows I connected and liked the characters instantly and would be distraught at the thought of any of them dying. In Time I couldnt have cared less if half of them died. They can tweak this show now all they want but I'm done with it. I just have no interest in this bunch of annoying, irritating and boring characters.
