Propworx Stargate Auctions: Week Five

The fifth week of the Stargate props, costumes and set dec auctions has begun! This week includes 115 lots of items ranging from SG and Atlantis uniforms to light-up Puddle Jumper parts, access cards and bantos rods!

As with every week, GateWorld brings you highlights of our favorite lots. Here’s what we’ve selected for week five!

Wraith Rifle with Working Lights
Light-up rifle used mainly by Wraith drones in the production of Stargate Atlantis Season One. From Season Two forward, these weapons were often replaced with more compact pistols.

Dr. Lee Alternate Reality Glasses
Glasses worn by actor Bill Dow playing an alternate version of “Bill Lee” in the Stargate SG-1 episode, “The Road Not Taken”. In both realities, Dr. Lee was a scientist based at Stargate command from its fourth year of operation forward. He was often used as comic relief on both SG-1 and Atlantis. Lee is one of the few characters to have appeared on all three live-action incarnations of the Stargate franchise.

Enemy Mine Original Charcoal Art
Original charcoal sketch of the Unas territorial marker from the Stargate SG-1 Season Seven episode, “Enemy Mine.” Artist James Robbins often worked with charcoal, his favorite medium, to share his vision.

Genii Hero Control Panel
Screen-used control panel used in the Genii mine set of the Stargate Atlantis Season Four episode, “Trio”.

Wraith Stunt Costume
Long black jacket, trousers and armor pads worn by Wraith “Commanders” during the production of Stargate Atlantis. The Wraith were the species responsible for defeating the Ancients, running them out of the Pegasus Galaxy and back to Earth ten thousand years ago. The arrival of the Atlantis expedition awoke them to the promise of a new feeding ground in the Milky Way.

Replicator Armored Costume
Tan armor jacket, armored chest piece, brown gauntlets and grieves, and gray undershirt and trousers, worn by a member of the Asuran Replicator guard in the third and fourth seasons of Stargate Atlantis. In the Season Three two-parter, “The Return”, these Replicators stormed Atlantis and took control from a ship of Ancients who recently returned to their home.

Zat’ni’katel Gun
Zat gun used by both Jaffa and humans in the production of Stargate SG-1. Zat’ni’katels were introduced in the SG-1 Season One finale, “Within the Serpent’s Grasp,” as a less-powerful alternative to the much larger staff weapon. The name, and the 3-shots-desintegrate nature of the Zat gun became the butt of numerous in-jokes, namely in the 100th episode “Wormhole X-Treme!”

S.G.C. Translight
Stargate Command light box translight featured in countless episodes of Stargate SG-1. Translights were used at the base to display information. This particular translight depicts the mean surface temperature of another world.

Lucian Alliance Uniform
Gray and black uniform blouse and trousers, worn by a member of the Lucian Alliance during the production of Stargate SG-1. With the loss of the Goa’uld to the Replicators hundreds of planets, once enslaved, were free to govern their own territories. The corrupt Lucian Alliance stepped forward to fill much of this power vacuum.

Wall Sconce with Working Lights
Light-up wall sconce used by Michael Shanks and David Hewlett as “Daniel Jackson” and “Rodney McKay,” respectively, in the Stargate Atlantis Season Five episode, “First Contact.” Daniel and Rodney tapped this and other lights in various sequences until the two determined how to use them to enter Janus’s secret laboratory.

What, from last week’s auctions, sold best and worst? An Atlantis working wall light went for $1,625, followed by a Wraith Stunner with working lights for $1,025 and Mitchell’s sword from “Camelot” for $910. For the opposite end, a Wraith stunner holster went for $31, the concept art for an alien’s anatomy from “One False Step” sold for $32, and a naquadah brick sold for $48.
