The mid-season premiere of Stargate Universe has finally arrived! “Space” aired last night in the United States and Canada, and the buzz we’ve seen online since then sounds like it more than lived up to the hype.
If you live in the U.S. you can watch the episode free (for a limited time), courtesy of Hulu. Enjoy!
You can discuss this episode now at GateWorld Forum.
New episodes of SGU will be available on Saturdays for the next two weeks. Starting with “Human” (airing April 23 on Syfy Channel), new episodes will arrive at Hulu on a delay. We’re not sure how long that delay will be.
Don’t miss next week’s episode, “Divided,” Friday at 9/8c on Syfy! In the meantime, keep your browser locked on GateWorld all week long as we roll out full coverage of “Space,” including an episode summary, transcript, screen capture gallery, and more.
loved it cant wait for next week
i wonder why young connected to the mystery aliens instead of the correspondent on earth
Do they think that the whole world live in USA?
Considering how it is a US show and how only the US rating count then my guess would be that was directed to US views to up the rating. We don’t go to your shows and act like how it needs to be more like our show and directed more toward us, so calm down.
Eh. I use alternate sources to watch episodes of my favorite series. Although they’re not exactly legal. However I do watch all SGU episodes when they air on TV6 Sweden every friday. Although we’re like seven episodes behind the US. And I will by the DVD once it has been released. However I seriously hope that we in Europe will get a blu-ray release as well.
Stargate Universe (often abbreviated as SGU) is a Canadian-American military science fiction television series and part of MGM’s Stargate franchise. So as a Canadian I want to know why can’t we see it streaming here, its part of our efforts too!
It has aired in the US. Hulu is a US viewing site. If your Canadian channel wants to steam the video then they need to do that on their own, or negotiate something on Hulu that would allow it be shown their. Just because it was produced and filmed in Canada does not mean that you get to watch it through the US steaming site. Seriously, any time anyone posts something for Hulu it is just whine, whine, whine from those who don’t live in the US. I don’t expect to be able to steam British shows or Canadian shows… Read more »
To my fellow SGU fans in other nations: break out the foxyproxy. Remember, you’re watching it with all the ads so you’re not stealing.
as far as I know, canadians can watch it streaming on space channel for a week after it airs (I think it goes up on saturdays)
You can watch on-line the following day.

Don’t know why, but my previous post didn’t get through.
I live in the U.K. But i was able to watch this awsome episode on youtube awsome quality.
Awesome episode, a big fat cherry on an already delicious cake. :D My only gripe was that the glass chamber seemed to break a little too easily, and should it have been breakable at all?
Hulu for the americans and the rest of the world just download it as usual ;-)
Once is enough.
And my DVR says sci-fi is playing three 3 billion times all next week anyway. and again on friday.
Great episode am 100% back into this show now!!!!
While watching this episode, I thought “I don’t remember it being this good.” I hope the rest of the season plays out this cool.
@ant101 agreed. i was always a bit on the fence during the first half of the season, but space was a really great episode. i think i’m going to get the first half of the season and revisit it. definitely glad i stuck with sgu
Well done! I was wondering how Rush was going to end up back on the Destiny. Now I am left wondering how much Rush really remembers about his time on the alien ship with him being as secretive as he is.
Have to say the aliens turned out pretty good. I think Stargate in general has come a long ways in their cgi department. I remember watching the puppet Asgards in SG-1 and when they went cgi, it looked so much better!
After this episode of SGU, I am looking forward to next weeks episode!!!!
Despite some eye rolling moments the episode is fantastic, the best so far for me…
Definitely the best episode so far for me! Still doesn’t make the first 10 episodes “worth it” like the recent interviews have suggested, but it was refreshing to see some action. And I don’t even think there was any crying?! :D It’s too bad not many tuned in for it though.. I worry they may have missed out on what the potential of the show can be, and when those viewers do tune back in next week or the week after, I fear we make be back to the character dramatics and those casual viewers may then be lost for… Read more »
@Kosh, no you didn’t miss anything it was the first time when the main gun come about…I would think they will explain it later.
