Syfy goes wall-to-wall Stargate with daily marathons!

Syfy Channel is marking the (current) end of the Stargate television franchise with a week-long celebration!  Tune in to the U.S. cable network every weekday this week (May 2-6) for an all-day marathon.  You’ll be able to relive favorite episodes from Stargate SG-1, and catch up with Season Two of Stargate Universe in time for next Monday’s series finale.

It starts today with an SGU marathon, running from “Pathogen” (the fourth episode of the current season) to the mid-season finale, “Resurgence” (8 a.m. to 3 p.m. E/P).  Next Monday, May 9, the SGU marathon picks up with “Deliverance” and runs through a repeat of tonight’s “Blockade” (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. E/P).

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week the fun continues with dozens of our favorite episodes of Stargate SG-1.  Check out the full schedule to see the list of episodes airing this week.  Episodes range all over the show’s 10-year run, and won’t be shown in any particular order — making it easy to drop in and out during the marathons, which will start at 8 or 8:30 a.m. E/P.

All times are subject to change.

Stargate Universe premieres a new episode tonight at 9/8c, and concludes with “Gauntlet” on Monday, May 9.

  • Starting today huh? Turned on SyFy today; Sanctuary marathon. Yup, good stuff there.

  • How can you put celebrate and "end of the Stargate television franchise" in the same sentance?? This isn't a celebration, this is sad! Especially since we won't be getting any closure!

Also, next Monday's episode is NOT a SERIES finale. It is a SEASON finale that just so happens to be the finale episode. A SERIES finale does not end in a cliffhanger.

  • I really don't get it, because I'd already noticed the inordinate amount of advertising that SYFY has done suddenly this past week for SGU. Why would they do that NOW, when they cancelled that excellent series. Why now would they inundate practically every hour with an ad for SGU when it only has two episodes left. And why, for that matter, move Sanctuary after ONE week on Friday, when it returned, and put it on after SGU on Monday. Why not have done that as a
new timeslot when it first returned from the break rather than after one week. Very strange.

  • you know
SyFy is doing this to see how many people watch the SGU
so if the rating are high probably renew for a third season
so tell to friend to watch the SGU episodes maybe syfy rethink the cancellation and give green light for a new season
