Former Stargate actress Amanda Tapping paid a visit to the Canadian morning show Urban Rush recently, chatting about the new season of Sanctuary (starting in October on Syfy and SPACE). She also talked up her participation in an important charity that is close to the Sanctuary family, “Once Upon A Cure” — raising money with its first annual gala event in Vancouver (Saturday, September 24 at 6 p.m.) to find a cure for Hunter Syndrome.
Other members of the Stargate family are involved as well, including Robert Carlyle, Paul McGillion, David DeLuise, and others. The charity is also hosting a stellar series of auctions happening right now, including lunches with Amanda, with David Hewlett and wife Jane Loughman, with Atlantis‘s Jewel Staite and Paul McGillion, props, signed photos and posters, and much more.
