American Mythology asked, and Stargate fans have answered.
The comic book publisher announced last week that it would launch a Kickstarter campaign for Volume 1 of the Stargate Atlantis comic book’s trade paperback edition.
The campaign opened on July 5, and fans fully funded the $1,500 goal in under 24 hours.
The graphic novel will collect the first two SGA story arcs from the publisher — “Back to Pegasus” and “Gateways” — with a total of six issues.
Officially licensed by MGM, “Back to Pegasus” picked up where the television series left off when it debuted in May 2016. “Gateways” followed with its first issue last fall.
The third Atlantis comic book series, “Hearts and Minds,” recently kicked off with Issue #1 in comic stores now.
The trade paperback edition will include 144 pages, with stories by J. C. Vaughn and Mark L. Haynes and art from Greg LaRocque, Scottie Watson, and Gene Jimenez.American Mythology hopes to have the book available by September. In the meantime it’s not too late to contribute, with “stretch goals” offering additional goodies for those who contribute at least $40.

Now I finally have a chance to read this. I hate that comics are released an issue at a time. That’s like releasing a novel one chapter at a time. It’s stupid. It might be tradition, but it’s still stupid.
Hoping for a new series (which I doubt) or SG1 on Blu Rey
