As the credits roll on what is hopefully only the first installment of the Web series Stargate Origins, fan attention is turning to the future. Will MGM choose to revive the Stargate franchise through a full-length TV series?

That’s the question of the day as GateWorld begins work on expanding our coverage of the Stargate franchise. This month we have been doing some experiments with new video content on GateWorld’s YouTube channel. The first new video essay asks this question: Will there be a fourth, live-action Stargate TV series?

In the 7-minute video GateWorld’s managing editor (that’s yours truly) looks back at the history of the last seven years — since Stargate Universe went off the air. Check it out below.
