Win Stargate’s New Expanded Edition Movie Soundtrack

This week on GateWorld we’re celebrating a now iconic film score: David Arnold’s music lifted 1994’s Stargate to new heights, with stirring compositions that married adventure, ancient mythology, and heart.

In 2020 La-La Land Records released a brand new and expanded edition of the Stargate film score. Now we have five copies of the 2-CD set to give away to Stargate fans! Read on to find out how to enter — and how to participate in a live conversation with the composer this weekend.

Arnold will sit down with GateWorld’s livestream interview show, “Dial the Gate,” this Sunday, May 2 (starting at 12pm PT / 3pm ET). Join host David Read for a conversation about Stargate’s music and the composer’s remarkable career. Fans can participate in the live chat during their conversation, and submit questions for our special guest.

Stargate‘s 25th Anniversary Expanded Edition soundtrack is limited to a production run of 3,000 units, and retails for $29.98 from La-La Land’s Web site. Enter the giveaway below for a chance to win a copy of the soundtrack, and look at the options for multiple entries to boost your chance of winning.

The Fine Print: You must be 18 years or older to enter, and it must be legal in your state or territory for you to enter this contest. Prizes will be mailed to postal addresses within the continental United States. You can’t be a GateWorld (or La-La Land) staffer, married to one, or otherwise under the spell of one. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with YouTube, Twitter, or Facebook.

UPDATE: Thank you for participating! The giveaway has concluded.

This contest closes at the end of the day on Friday, May 7, 2021. After that we will verify the winners’ entries and attempt to reach FOUR (4) randomly drawn winners by e-mail. Winners must respond within 48 hours with a valid U.S. postal address to claim the prize (so check your Spam folder!). After that, the prize will be forfeit and another winner will be chosen.

We’ll also give away another copy of the soundtrack during the David Arnold livestream on Sunday! You must be present in the livestream during the giveaway for a chance to win that one. (And, needless to say, the winner of the “Dial the Gate” giveaway will not be eligible to win a second copy later in the week.) There’s no country limit on the “Dial the Gate” giveaway.

  • Great to see a site that is available all over the world about a show that travels the universe only allows citizens of 1 country to enter its competitions....

    • Passive aggression aside: We're a small, independent fan site, and international shipping on a CD costs around $16 each. I'm not going to ask a contest winner for money. We wrestled with how best to do this, and decided we could offer the copy being given away on the livestream to anyone in the world.

If we had to regularly pay international shipping costs every time we ran a giveaway, we just wouldn't do giveaways. It's just the reality of being a small fan site.

      • I guess most of us Europeans would be happy to pay for the postage ;)
But I can totally see how you would not want to get into this hassle. International shipping can be a real nightmare (I used to run a record label, so I have my fair share of experience with that).

      • Every time there is a comp for something it's always restricted to the USA. It's not just you but every US site and company. It treats the rest of us like we don't matter. If someone wants to enter and pay for shipping it should be up to them. If they don't want to pay then they don't enter. That's just my opinion.

        • Joshua: I'm not sure what that is. I can mail prizes to U.S. postal addresses, so if MyUS is some sort of international forwarding service, then have at it.
