Live From the Floor of San Diego Comic-Con: Special Edition

Good morning, Gaters! This is Linda “GateGabber” Furey, live from the floor of Comic-Con: Special Edition. Today is Friday, November 26, 2021, and it is the first day of the convention. I hope all of our American fans had a very Happy Thanksgiving.

In these “Live From the Floor” reports I am going to be taking you around the convention to all of the Stargate happenings throughout the weekend. Right now I want to share the schedule of events for today. We have Stargate programming taking place all weekend both live here in San Diego, and virtually on the #stargate channel on the CCI Central Discord server. We will have live moderators there to chat and answer all of your questions throughout the weekend.

If you are new to Discord, here’s how to access the #stargate channel and join the fun:

• Go to Discord.com
• Click on “Open Discord” in your browser, and follow the instructions to make an account
• Then use this invite link to join the CCI Central server (from Comic-Con International)
• You then need to go to #code-of-conduct on the menu on the left of your screen and read the group rules. Click the green check mark at the bottom of the rules to agree. The entire menu should then appear.
• Scroll down the menu and select #stargate and join the fun!

Later today I’ll be taking a look at Wyvern Gaming’s Stargate Gaming Lounge, which is located in Pacific Ballroom 18-19 at the Marriott Marquis (right next door to the convention center). If you are looking for an opportunity to try the new Stargate Roleplaying Game, this is the place for you.

A little bird told me that there is also a Stargate in the Wyvern Gaming Booth (#2650) on the floor of the convention center. Alas, we don’t have a D.H.D. … but if anyone has a spare naquadah generator we could try to dial out manually.
