Stargate’s Prometheus Model Lands November 17

UPDATE: Master Replicas has posted (via social media) a new launch date of Friday, November 17 for the Prometheus.

UPDATE #2: The November 17 launch revealed that this is a pre-order, with models shipping beginning January 15.

Master Replicas is ready to debut the newest Stargate ship model after all, with the Prometheus set to go up for sale online on November 10 November 17.

Fans who are ready to order on launch day should have a good shot at picking up the ship, with the initial run of the model at 2,000 units.

The release date is a correction to what the company told us last week, when they indicated a delay of the model to February.

There’s no word yet on the price of the model (or if they will again be limited to a certain number per person, which has been typical). Previous Stargate models in the Hero Collector line have typically sold around $60 U.S.

Eagle-eyed fans have noted that the model appears to be based on the original Season Six design of the ship, when the two pods on either side were conceived to be some form of propulsion (as depicted in the original concept art below). In later episodes the pod openings were widened to reconceive them as F-302 hangars (seen in the Season Nine episode “Ethon”), implying a refit that was never mentioned on screen.

The original concept art for Prometheus depict the side pods as a part of the ship’s propulsion systems.

Prometheus is the fifth ship in the series following the Daedalus, Goa’uld Mothership, Death Glider, and the F-302. This is the final release from Eaglemoss’s original production pipeline, meaning that future models will be released under Master Replicas’ own branding.

Stick with GateWorld for more on this and other upcoming ships! We hope to have some additional photos of the Prometheus before the model goes on sale.

Will you be picking up the Prometheus for your shelf fleet? What Stargate ships do you want Master Replicas to make next? Let’s hear it in the comments!

  • I'm curious about the scale of the model and I'm also a little disappointed they didn't do the hangars as in the show. Also would have loved if they had painted them but other than that they look great. Hope they sell them in larger quantities so more can buy them.

  • "NOTE: EXPECTED RELEASE W/C JANUARY 15TH, ORDERS CONTAINING INSTOCK AND PRE ORDERS WILL ONLY BE SHIPPED ONCE THE PRE ORDERS ARRIVE"

    Currently US$44.99 (12/1/2023 @ 8:38 am ET) for 10 more hours.
