Meaning "sanctuary", it is a world designated as a refuge by Rebel Jaffa under the legion of Kytano. He declared the world to be free for all Jaffa who wished to be liberated from their masters. For some time Kytano used this planet to strengthen his legions and train his forces.
Cal Mah was eventually attacked by the Goa'uld System Lord Yu, who gained the coordinates for this planet, sending a mothership to commence an assault from the upper atmosphere.
