Argosian native, husband of Thetys and father to baby Dan-el. Alekos brought Thetys to the worship hall where Pelops's statue resided to make requests that the god would give Thetys strength to carry through with the delivery of Dan-el. Then SG-1 arrived with Daniel Jackson, who helped give birth to the boy. In his honor, they named the child Dan-el.
Alekos was the most curious of the Chosen SG-1 encountered, expressing his eagerness to explore the lands beyond their realm. He was also the first to voice his opinions after Jack O'Neill declared Pelops to be a false god, and almost immediately threw down his claim to be one of Pelop's Chosen.
