Device of Ancient origin which allows the construction of technology from base molecules. Aided by an interface similar to an Ancient repository of knowledge, a user interfaced with the device can assemble a design virtually. In concert with a form of matter-energy conversion, the design is later willed into solid reality after it is assembled. A pedestal is configured to receive the completed pieces.
Complex technology, such as the Sangraal, must be completed in stages. According to Daniel Jackson, the device requires a great deal of concentration to operate correctly.
